Born in Madrid, he moved to Paris in 2007, where he became a photographer after graduating from the Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid
Torrado started his career in the fashion business shooting look books for a wide range of clients, from well known designers to industry newcomers, meeting the commercial needs of his clients while staying true and developing his own creative vision
These early assignments were followed by a growing number of commissions from the press. His images have since been published by journals and international editions of fashion magazines
Throughout the years, Torrado has shot Alexandra Shulman, Chrissie Chau, Dries Van Noten, Felipe Oliveira Baptista, Jean Paul Gaultier, Jean-Philippe Delhomme, John Travolta, Matali Crasset, Rossy de Palma, Sammy Leung, Sébastien Tellier, Victoria Abril or Walter Van Beirendonck, just to name a few, showcasing his knack for working with the most diverse subjects
Torrado has visited Hong Kong repeatedly on invitation after a first stay in 2013. In Hong Kong he has worked with an agency producing campaigns of stark minimalism for international brands and local institutions
Since 2017 he has dedicated his efforts to document the parties of the queer millennials of Paris
Currently working from Rome, Italy, Torrado’s ongoing photo project is 2020 Year Zero
